United Way of Greater Atlanta's Shoebox Project ™ 2016

What is Shoebox Project?

In 2006, United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Shoebox Project was launched as a campaign to collect shoeboxes filled with toiletries for women and children in need throughout Greater Atlanta. More than 10 years later, Shoebox Project has been adopted by United Ways across the country and is making an unbelievable impact on the lives of those in need, volunteers, and donors looking to make a difference. DONATED A SHOEBOX, BUT WANT TO DO EVEN MORE FOR

GREATER ATLANTA’S HOMELESS?

Learn about how you can be a part of our other initiatives
  • Vets Connect
In Atlanta, veterans account for 15 percent of the homeless population, compared to 11 percent nationally. With your help, we can provide the supports and services that  homeless veterans need to get off the streets, into permanent housing, and on a path to the American dream. Learn more
  • Kids Home Initiative
In Greater Atlanta, in the Austell and Clarkston area schools alone, over 30% of the kids are homeless, and therefore at risk of falling behind in school. We can change that. Learn more
  • Street to Home
On any given night, 7,000 homeless individuals are on the streets of Greater Atlanta. Join our Street to Home early morning outreach program to help homeless individuals off the streets and into housing. Learn more
